Zakiah James Christian Satterfield

Zakiah James Christian Satterfield, age 9 of Maryville passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016. He attended Faith Promise Church and enjoyed having deep conversations about God. He was in the Third Grade at Foothills Elementary School and embraced every opportunity to learn. He played football for Maryville Lil Rebs and Southerners. Zakiah was intelligent beyond his years, an amazing big brother and friend, a defender of others, and an advocate for his beliefs. He was passionate in everything he did. He loved shooting his bow and cherished his time hunting with Papaw. He was a music lover who enjoyed listening and writing his own songs and loved life and animals. He had a profound love for his Mama. Zakiah is now in Heaven with his beloved pets, Layla and Oreo. Survivors include: Parents, Joseph & Amber Satterfield; Brothers, Malachi Satterfield, Isaiah Satterfield, and baby brother Satterfield (Sept. 2016); Grandparents, Mona Juckett, Lenny & Janine Juckett, Jennifer Ammons, and Mark & Joyce Satterfield; Great-Grandparents, Jan & Linda Munch; many beloved aunts and uncles; guinea pig, Patches.
