Wilma J. Stokes

Wilma J. Stokes age 88 of Alcoa, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the family home. She was a member of Rockford Baptist Church and a longtime beautician. Wilma was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devoted wife for 49 years to Bob Stokes and a friend to everyone she met. Preceded in death by: Husband, Bob Stokes; Mother, Nettie Webb Burns; Three sisters; One brother and a Twin brother, Willard Burns; Grandson, Robert Stokes. Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Janice & Harry Borden; Son & Daughter-in-law, Gary & Gail Stokes; Grandchildren, Rusty Borden, Anna Stokes, Matthew Pickens; several great-grandchildren; Special friends, Brenda Coulter and Geneve Reed; Special Caregiver, Wendy Rogers. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:00 PM, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bill Small and Dr. John Franklin officiating.
