Wilma Jean Pennington

Wilma Jean Pennington, age 71, of Maryville, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of 1st Apostolic Church of Maryville and was a wonderful and caring person who loved caring for people. She will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Massingill; sister, Mary Watson; and granddaughter, Rhonda Johnson; Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Cherie Johnson of Friendsville and Ronald Johnson and special friend, Sandy Stalans of Maryville; daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Tommy Akins, and Margo Massingill, all of Maryville; 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Carroll McCarty of Monroe, MI; sister, Janice McCarty of Florida; Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the 1st Apostolic Church of Maryville with Rev. Kenneth Carpenter officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery with Michael, Daniel, Ronnie, Brandon, Bobby, Kenny Jr., Jason, Danny, and Jose serving as pallbearers.
