Wilma Jacqueline “Jackie” Almond passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. Jackie was born May 19, 1928 in Majestic, Kentucky to the late William M. and Cecilia Curley Lindley. Preceded in death by: daughter, Yvonne Almond Llumbet; sister, Norma Jean Lackey. She is survived by: the love of her life and husband of 65 years, Rick Almond; children, Dennis Almond, Dale (Tennie) Almond, Donna (Del) Roberts, David Almond; granddaughter and primary caregiver with David, Christie Wilson. Jackie is also survived by her precious shih tzu Sassy who has constantly been by her side for the past five and a half years; grandchildren, Heather (Matt) Rucker, Christie (Ricky) Wilson, Lindsey (Allen) Piercy, Brett (Erika) Llumbet, Brad Llumbet, Bridgett (Michael) Williamson, Kelly Almond, Chelsey (Bob) DiDomenico, Andrew Almond, Shane Roberts and Chessa Roberts; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A celebration of life service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Trivett officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
