Willie Rose Allen

Willie Rose Allen, age 87, died April 18, 2013 at Shannondale. Willie Rose spent her life devoted to being a wonderful wife, mother, and a very active member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She loved to entertain guests at her house. She was preceded in death by her husband of 6 decades, William (Bill) Allen, and a grandson Allen Culberson. She leaves behind twin daughters, Mary Morehead and husband Lance of Alcoa, TN and Edie Culberson and husband David of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren Morgan Hodson and husband Chad of Maryville, TN, Mason Morehead and wife Ryan of Spartanburg, SC, Wes Culberson and wife Jessica of Santa Cruz, California, and Kit Jones and husband Jeremy, of Denver, Colorado; also survived by great-grandchildren Darcy Hodson, Kipling Hodson, and Charlotte Rose Morehead. The family wishes to thank Asbury Place and Shannondale for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 21, at 2 pm at Broadway United Methodist Church of Maryville with the interment following at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1- 2 pm at Broadway United Methodist Church. Rev. Laura Rasor will be officiating.
