William Kenneth Webb

February 21, 1922 — August 19, 2024

William Kenneth Webb, 102, died on Monday, August 19, 2024, at Brookdale Browns Creek Senior Living in Maryville, Tennessee. He was born the fifth child of ten to Leila Mae Renfro Webb and John Elijah Webb on February 21, 1922, in Maryville, Tennessee. Ken was a World War II veteran and had been employed at Alcoa Aluminum as an electrical engineer before his retirement in 1981. He served faithfully as a pastor, counselor, and loving friend, father, and grandfather for the rest of his life. He was welcomed into heaven by his wife of seventy-four years, Ginny, and his son, Kenneth Lee, two infant children, as well as a grandson, Alan, and his nine brothers and sisters, along with countless others he led to the Lord Jesus. Ken is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Hethcote and her husband, Ted, of Knoxville, who were his faithful caregivers for over eighteen years; and Marti Siems (Jeff) of Louisville, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Lela Webb, of Sebring, Florida, as well as thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandson soon to be born, all of whom will cherish his memory deeply. He was loved by all who had the privilege to know him. We will immeasurably miss his faith, wisdom, humor, stories, and his presence that was with us for so long. He leaves behind a legacy too vast to enumerate, the richest of which is a love for and faith in Jesus Christ. The family expresses many thanks to the caregivers at Brookdale Browns Creek Senior Living who cared so lovingly for him. In lieu of flowers, we request a donation to The Wounded Warriors Project, Mercy Ships, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, all of which were near to his heart. We will celebrate Ken’s life with a private graveside service. Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com.
