William Dunn Stinnett

William “Bill�? Dunn Stinnett age 83 of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Bill was a longtime member of East Maryville Baptist Church and former member of Armona Baptist Church where he was an RA Leader. He retired from ALCOA with 30 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Club. Bill was also a member of Prudentia Masonic Lodge and Kerbela Shrine Temple. He was Captain of the Maryville High School Football team in 1946 when they had their first undefeated season and was chosen for the All East Tennessee Football team. He was a Blount County football and basketball official, as well as a longtime little league baseball coach at Eagleton Little League. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter & Henrietta Stinnett; brothers, Ronald & Pat Stinnett. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Gracaleen Keasler Stinnett; sons & daughters-in-law, William Michael & Debbie Stinnett, Mark & Debbie Stinnett, Bobby Stinnett; daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Mack Williams; grandchildren, Travis & Sarah Stinnett, Jenny & Travis Rimmer, Jill & Caleb Hazelbaker, Brooke Stinnett, Billy Pedigo, Mack F. Williams; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rimmer & Harper Stinnett; other extended family members and many friends. Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, August 19, 2011 at East Maryville Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 7:00 pm with Rev. Keith Johnson, Rev. David Webster & Dr. Charles Bailey officiating. Family & friends will assemble at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
