William Douglas Nolan

W. Douglas Nolan, age 73 of Maryville died Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Born January 21, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tenn., to parents William and Mildred Nolan, he was a graduate of Central High School and Tennessee Tech. Doug retired from State Farm Insurance Company. Survivors include his wife, Judy Patterson Nolan; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Karen Nolan; grandchildren Matthew and Krista, all of Maryville; sister Beverly Alexander of Hollandale, Mississippi; Aunts & Uncles Juanita & Louie McDaniel, Betty Lou & Joe Murray of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mills, Blanche “Pete�? Clevenger, and Sarah Alice Boring and brother-in-law, Jack D. Patterson, all of Maryville and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks to all of Doug’s health care providers. There will be a Celebration of Life and also a celebration of their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Friday, August 6th at 7:00 p.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Friends may visit the family at the home following the Celebration of Life Service.
