William "Bill" Lewis

William "Bill" Lewis, 78, of Maryville, TN, died May 24, 2016. He was born in Richmond, Virginia, to Claude and Estelle Lewis, where he grew up with six brothers and one sister, all of whom have predeceased him. Bill was a man of many and widely varied interests, from diving to flying hot air balloons to back yard birding and photography. His great love of nature will live on because of the many years he devoted his time, energy, and resources to wildlife and his beloved dogs. His sense of humor helped ease many troubles. A kind and gentle soul, he lived a real and honest life to the end, making the most of every day. His advice would be to realize the value of each moment of our lives. He is survived by his wife, Annice, and children William "Buddy," Steven, Joe and Kami, and one grandchild, Rachel. Interment will be a private ceremony in Maryville.
