William "Monk" Johnson

William Ronald “Monk” Johnson, age 55, of Townsend died Friday, October 29, 2016 at Morningview Transitional Care. Monk enjoyed golf and NASCAR, worked for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was the family clown and kept everybody laughing. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Johnson, Jr. He is survived by daughter, Brooke Johnson; mother, Marie Johnson; wife, Lisa Johnson; brothers, John Johnson and his wife Jami, Jerry Johnson and his wife Emily, Thom Johnson and his wife Carolyn, Bob Johnson and his wife Robin; sisters, Jackie Suttles and her husband Ron, Karen Sands and her husband Roger, Robyn Buchanan, and Lynn Barton and a host of nieces and nephews and other family. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Monday, October 31, 2016 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM. The family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church Cemetery.
