William “Jack” Eubanks, age 85 of Alcoa, TN broke free of the shackles of Lewy Body Dementia following a brief complication. The love of his life, his “partner in crime,” Mary Lynn Eubanks, was by his side. Jack was born in Knoxville and raised in Maryville. He attended Everett and Friendsville Academy. Jack was raised in the First Christian Church, Maryville. He served in the United States Army and continued to work as a civilian for the Air Force, Navy, and Army until his retirement in 1995. That same year he and Lynn relocated to Blount County. Jack was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Gothic Fraternal Lodge in New Jersey. Jack was an avid VOLS fan, golfer, and pool player. He could often be found at his second home, Green Meadow Country Club. Predeceased by his parents, O.W. and Berenice Eubanks; brother-in-law, Roy Norville; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Emily Furtek. Jack is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Lynn Eubanks; brother, David Eubanks (Margaret) and sister, Linda Norville. He leaves behind, to carry on his legacy, children, Paige Morales (Mike), Deanna Wood (Ben Wuensch), Tara Boles (Joe), and Bill Eubanks; his grandchildren, Ben Ray (Elizabeth), Jacob Ray (Anna), Carly Cassidy, Crysten Wood, and Rilee Haney; and 2 great granddaughters, Georgia and Evelyn Ray. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lewy Body Dementia Association or Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
