William Osborne Bledsoe age 85 of Maryville passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at Fort Sanders Hospital. He was retired from ALCOA and was a member of the 25-Year Club. Prior to that, he worked as a millwright at X-10 in Oak Ridge. He was a SeaBee in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a life-long NRA member and was an avid shooter. Preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Bledsoe; parents, Roderick and Bertle Bledsoe; brothers, James and Freddie Bledsoe. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Jennifer Bledsoe of Maryville, and James and Deborah Bledsoe of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Eric Arnold of Knoxville; grandchildren, Andrea McMahan and husband, Michael, Matthew Bledsoe, and Gabriela Bledsoe; great grandchildren, Alexis, Sebastian, Sophie, and Ashley; brothers, Clyde and Leonard Bledsoe; three cherished cats and one dog. Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the Smith West Chapel with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
