William Charles “Bunny” Berrong, 75, was welcomed home by his Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He was born on Easter Sunday, April 13, 1941 in the Everett Hills Community of Maryville, Tennessee, to William Saunders Berrong and Willie Hitson Berrong. He was a long time member of Trinity Community Church. He was a pharmacist for fifty-one years in Maryville and Knoxville. Although semi-retired, he was still working for East Tennessee Discount Drug. Bunny knew no strangers and treated everyone like family. He always placed the needs of others before his own. His compassion overflowed and touched everyone he met. Bunny provided a joke or smile to anyone he knew even if they liked it or not. We will miss all the love and joy he brought to our lives, but his spirit and legacy of hope, compassion, and faith lives on through all that were blessed to be part of his life. He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Brown Berrong; his son, Edwin “Eddie” Berrong, his daughter, Tamye Berrong Jett; his sister, Betty Berrong Everett; his brothers, King Berrong, Jr., Leon Berrong, and Bobby Berrong.
