William Harvey Bear Hurst

William Harvey "Bear" Hurst, age 65, of Maryville, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a member of Big Valley Resort Church and was retired from the United States Air Force as a Tech Sergeant receiving numerous medals and commendations throughout his career. He was loved by many and he loved many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kim Hurst. He is survived by his parents, Sim B. and Lillian Hurst of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Bobby and Janet Hurst of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Dave Holbert of Knoxville; nieces, Heather Sowders and husband Tom of Friendsville, Whitney Hurst of Springhill, TN, Keri Allen & husband Mark, and Kristy Mai; nephews, Nick Belcher and Shane Belcher and wife Katie, all of Maryville; Several Uncles and Aunts also survive. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2007 at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Hurst and Rev. Carl White officiating.
