Willard Gene Williams age 78 of Maryville died suddenly Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center after a brief illness. Willard was a graduate of Friendsville High School Class of 1953. He was a veteran of U.S. Air Force and retired from TVA with 25 years of service. Preceded in death by: Parents, Claude & Ithel Williams; Wife & mother of children, Patricia Anne Williams; Brother, Delbert Williams. Survivors include: Wife, Wilma Butcher Williams; His Children, Son, Gary Williams & wife Cindy; Daughter, Cathy Potter & husband Ronnie; Son, Glenn Williams; Daughter, Christy Trent & husband David; Step-daughter, Carol Linginfelter & husband Donnie of Old Hickory; several grandchildren, Terrell Williams, Christopher & Channing Potter, Kevin & Sidney Trent, Abby Williams, Chelsea Huskey; Step-grandchildren, Aaron & Jamison Linginfelter; Great-Grandchild, Porter Linginfelter; Brother, Edward (Wannell) Williams; Sister, Betty Galloway; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service and entombment at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Grandview Mausoleum Chapel with Steven Butcher and Donald Linginfelter officiating.
