Wesley Thomas Gregg

Wesley Thomas Gregg, age 40 of Alcoa, peacefully passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Blount Memorial Hospital. So many lives have been blessed by Wes. Wes faced many challenges in life but faced them all with sheer determination. If the conventional way didn’t work for him, he always found a way. To know Wes was a lesson in courage, compassion, and perseverance. Anyone that met Wes was left with lasting memories of the young man with the huge smile, a big heart, and a forever friend. Preceded in death by stepfather, Gary Collins; sister, Sonia Russell; grandparents, Don and Joanne Gregg, Norman and Maydora Kunath, Barbara Gregg, Robert Hubbard Sr, Leota and Armond Collins. Survived by parents, Sue Collins, Thomas Sr. and Pamela Gregg; siblings, Mitch and Nora Collins, Shannon Collins, Tom and Bonnie Gregg, Carrie and Rodney McKelvey, Brad and Kale McNett, Traci and Alex O’Neil, Justin and Lisa Gregg; grandparents, Janice Hubbard, Patricia and Ted Crum; many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to the many doctors, caregivers, and therapists that have cared for Wes throughout the years. As well as those at Blount Memorial Hospital and the Gateway to Independence (the Gate). Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Roger Murphy officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM for Interment Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery in Lenoir City with Pastor Scot Wells officiating.
