Wendell Keith Hair

Wendell "Keith" Hair, 51, of Maryville, passed into glory Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Keith fought a courageous three year battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was a living testimony of dignity, grace and trust in the plan God had for him, believing that his miracle would come. His wife, Deborah, held his hand and walked each step of the journey with Keith as a testimony of the forever love they shared. Keith is survived by his wife of 30 years (as of August 4, 2014), Deborah King Hair; his two devoted sons, Joseph Keith Hair and Phillip Lee Hair; and his 'daughters', Jessi (Joseph) Hair and Kristi (Phillip) Hair. 'Pop Pop' also leaves his three little loves, Kolton and Kindall Hair and Walle Hair. His loyal dog/friend, Bella, was at his side continually through this journey. Keith is also survived by his parents, James and Lela Hair and his brothers, Tim and wife Teresa; Larry and wife Cindy; along with many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his in-laws, Joe and Gwenda King, who were devoted to him as their 'son' throughout the years of marriage to Deborah and especially these last years of his journey. Keith was a faithful Godly man and touched all with his testimony of faith. He loved his church, Faith Promise, his small group and mentored many as a small group coach along with Deborah. He served Christ by helping others through mission work. He was a member of Wind Rock ATV Club; loved the outdoors; and was gifted in woodwork. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Debaugh and the nursing staff in ICU at Blount Memorial. Your overwhelming care and kindness cannot be measured. They would also like to thank Kathy and Wilma and the Medical Fitness Staff at Blount Memorial. Dr. Barrett and his staff at the Health Factory have forever touched the lives of Keith's family. The family incurred many needs during Keith's illness and treatments. They ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to offset these needs.
