Wayne B. Duncan

Wayne B. Duncan, age 84, of Maryville passed away peacefully late Wednesday evening January 27, 2016 at the family home. Wayne attended Glenlock Baptist Church of Sweetwater and was retired as a designer and polisher of marble after a long and fulfilling career. He loved his family and he loved to mow the grass. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his Parents, John and Nannie Duncan; Wife, Opal Ruth Duncan; 13 Brothers and Sisters, and Son-in-law, Rocky Tipton. Survivors include his Sons and Daughters-in-law, Donny and Melanie Kathy Duncan, Kennith Duncan, and George and Cara Duncan; Daughter, Vonitta Tipton; all of Maryville. 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; Brother and Sister-in-law, Virgil Clifford and Billie Duncan of Sweetwater; Special friends, Anna Ruth and Nancy. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Citico Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Scott Huffstetler officiating and Shane Tipton, Jason Tipton, Bobby Duncan, Mickey Sullivan, Kenny Thomas, and Dean Cook serving as pallbearers.
