Wanda Fay Frank

Wanda Fay Moore Frank, 73-years-old, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on May 31, 1942 in Sevierville, TN to the late Harvey and Ida Ruth Moore. Wanda never met a stranger. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile drew people to her. She made everyone feel special and loved. Her life was full of joy and humor even through the crippling pain of severe rheumatoid arthritis. She loved traveling, shopping, and people watching. Wanda met her wonderful husband of 53 years, John Wayne Frank, while at Porter High School. The family they made was her whole world. If you met Wanda you heard all about them. Wanda was so proud of her roles of wife, mother, and meme. She will be lovingly missed by Wayne, her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy Frank of Knoxville, her daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Jeff Kee, and her beloved grandchildren Lauren and Matthew Kee, all of Murfreesboro. Her extended family of in-laws, aunts and uncles, nephews, and cousins meant so much to her. The number of friends Wanda had were too numerous to count. Special friends from high school, Pat Reynolds and Don and Linda Morton, shared many precious memories with Wanda and she considered them family. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim Moore, her in-laws Arch and Eva Frank, and her brother-in-law Don Frank. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Scott Kidd officiating. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Wanda's name, as she would "rather the kids have it" than herself.
