Walter Raymond Sneed

Walter Raymond Sneed, age 79, of Maryville, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at Asbury Place of Maryville. Mr. Sneed was a member of Hopewell Springs Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from Martin Marietta Oak Ridge. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and had a passion for bowling. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and a true Friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Raleigh and Helen Leona Sutton Sneed; brother, Harold R. Sneed, and sister-in-law, Justina Sneed. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Reba Sneed; Sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Rebecca Sneed and Brian and Laura Sneed; Grandchildren, Dakota Sneed, April Sneed, and Gage Sneed; Step-Grandchildren, Sara Hinkle and Raymond Hinkle; Great Granddaughter, Madalyn Bell, all of Maryville; Brother, James Sneed of Madisonville, TN; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray and Cathy Richesin, Bill and Judy Brewer, Shirley and Austin Raby, and Faye and John McClanahan, and Shelby Sneed; Nieces, Liz Sneed and Pam Sneed; Many other family members also survive. A Celebration of Raymonds' life will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. The Burial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
