Wallace originally from Harrisburg, PA and later of Dayton, Ohio, Blackwell, OK, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Gatlinburg, TN. Wally was an Army veteran of WWII serving in Okinawa and a proud graduate of Butler University. He was a lifelong Shriner supporting the Children's Hospital, a member of the Scottish Rite and a 32nd degree Mason. He had a wonderfully successful broadcasting, news and sales career. During his news days he interviewed presidents, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Nixon and also covered many political conventions and annually the Indianapolis 500. He worked at WONE Dayton in the 50's and later owned KLTR in Blackwell, OK in the 60's. He worked at various stations in Florida with personalities such as Sally Jesse Raphael. He finished his awesome sales career with Westinghouse Security Systems, leading the country in sales for multiple years in the 70's while working in South Florida. But family always came first, turning down many career offers that might take him away from family for too long. His family gives heartfelt thanks to his private caregivers that in the final weeks of his life treated him with the dignity and genuine caring that all should be treated. Our visits with him and the comfort and joy he experienced will be the good memory that will stay with us always. Papa, we will all miss you dearly, especially his daughter Tammy as an only child of two only children.
