GREER, Wallace “Wally�? age 84 of Hamilton passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010, at 3:10 am in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on May 23, 1926, to the late Wallace Greer and Zona Greer Cramer. He served in Europe during World War II. He worked for the Chessie System Railroad for 44 years. In 1970 Wally married Eunice Rogers and this year they celebrated forty years of marriage. Wally was a member of the St. Clair Ave. Baptist Church in Hamilton, serving as church treasurer and trustee for many years. He was treasurer for the Midwest Ceramic Association for twenty years, and a member of the Hamilton Bowlers Hall of Fame. Wally enjoyed many years of therapy with his friends and nurses in the Pulmonary Rehab Group at Mercy Health Plex in Fairfield. Survivors include his wife, Eunice; his daughter, Candy (Jeff) Culp of Ocala, Fl; two step-children, Rex (Paula) Rogers and Robin (Larry) Thomas; five grandchildren, Daniel (Kristy) and Brett (Shannon) Spann, Ryan (Jamie) Rogers, Rusty (Christa) Thomas, Shannon (John) Zimmerman; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Dottie (Howard) Knipper. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Harry Cramer; a brother, Dick Greer; three step-brothers, Harry “Bud�?, Dick, and Don Cramer. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Richard Sternberg for his many years of excellent, loving care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at St. Clair Baptist Church with Rev. Don Dewey and Rev. Orville Roach officiating. Burial service will be held at 11:00am Friday at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church Cemetery, Maryville, Tennessee, with the Rev. Rex Rogers officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00pm Tuesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. Hamilton, Ohio and from 10:30 am until the start of the funeral service Wednesday in the church. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Clair Ave. Baptist Church.
