Wade M. Murphy Sr. age 85 of Maryville, passed away Monday, February 9, 2009 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. Preceded in death by: Father, Harrison Mack Murphy; Mother, Eliza Adlin Wilcox Murphy; Brothers, Hampford Murphy, Wendall Murphy, and Clarence "Huel" Murphy; Sisters, Merle Ellison, Reva Parker, and Barbara Jackson; Son, Paul E. Lewis, Sr.; Grandchild, Baby Lewis. Survivors include: Sister, Louise Headrick & husband Charles of Maryville; Brothers, Rev. Mack Murphy & wife Mary of Maryville, Harold Clint Murphy & wife Elizabeth of Tallahasee, FL; Children, Leonard Murphy, Eliza (Penny) Carter Dowlin, Wade Martin Murphy Jr. & wife Fay Murphy, Max Edward Lewis & wife Sue Ann Lewis, Nora Lewis Penson & husband Rev. Jimmy Penson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Special thanks to all the friends and family at Colonial Hills B-Wing and TCC who lovingly cared for and enjoyed spending quality time with him. Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Mack Murphy officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 13, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
