Wade C. Mountain

Wade Carter Mountain, age 90 of Maryville, TN passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at Colonial Hill Nursing Center. He became ill in January of 2009 while living at Morning View Assistance Living since March of 2007 & went to Colonial Hills in February 2009. He was born November 23, 1918 in Tazewell, TN and attended Central Baptist Church in Alcoa, TN. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, and belonged to the Golden Agers. He was active in the Everett Adult Center and really enjoyed dancing. He was a veteran of World War II. He was a Tool & Die Maker at Ford Motor Company in Monroe, MI. He retired after 35 years of service. He was married to Mary (Thompson) Mountain for 54 years. Preceded in death by: parents, Charles & Louda (Carr) Mountain; little brother, Wayne; baby sister, Pauline Mountain all of Tazewell, TN; wife, Mary(Thompson) Mountain, Maryville, TN; brother, Charles R. Mountain of Tellico Plains, TN. Survivors include: son, Dennis W. Mountain of Apex, NC; daughter, Mary Lynn Brossia-Frazier & her husband Mark of Flat Rock, MI; 3 grandsons, Jeff & wife Tina Brossia, David C. Brossia, Michael W. Brossia; 8 great-grandchildren, Michael, Corey, Johnathan, Jeffrey, Brooklyn, Joshua, Breanna, and Bryce Brossia all of Michigan; sister, Evelyn Poore of CA; brothers, Carl Mountain of FL and Kenneth & wife Fran Mountain of LaVergne, TN; sister-in-law, Grace Mountain of Tellico Plains, TN; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Maxiene Stinnett of Maryville, TN. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. George Gilbert and Rev. Greg Kelley both of Central Baptist Church, Alcoa, TN officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel.
