Vivian Clarice Metz

Vivian C. Metz, age 86, formerly of Fairfield, Ala., passed away on Friday, December 25 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fred H. Metz, Jr., her parents, Pearl Lawrence and Forrest Millstead and sister, Mary Elizabeth Daniel. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her son Fred, daughter-in-law Sophia and grandsons, Eric and Ellis, all of Maryville; nieces Joan (Larry) Clark, Pam (Phillip) Russell, and nephew Robert Daniel all of Birmingham. She was a Registered Nurse and hospital administrator for over 45 years. Vivian and Fred were avid Alabama football fans having followed the Crimson Tide for over 60 years. Visitation will be Monday evening from at Johns-Ridout Mortuary in Birmingham. Graveside service will be on Tuesday morning at Elmwood Cemetery.
