Virgie Ruth Whitehead Hatcher

Virgie Ruth Whitehead Hatcher, ago 90, went to be with her Lord, Monday, June 16, 2009. She was a member of Madison Ave. Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Clarence; son, Clyde; son-in-law, Dexter Irwin; parents, Tom and Mary Whitehead; several brothers and sisters. Survived by daughters and son-in-laws, Carol Ellis, Irma Irwin, Kathy Holloway, and Robin and Jerry Moore, all of Maryville, and Lois and J.C. O'Dell of Madisonville; son, Gary and wife Sun of Kileen, Texas; grandchildren, Angela and Joe Wade, Johnny and Andrea Ellis, Dale Potter, Debbie & Bill Jenkins, Jason Irwin, David & Jack O'Dell, and Daniel and Charity Hatcher; great grandchildren, Matthew and Marinda Ellis, Amanda Potter, Kelsey Jenkins, Tracey, Charlie and Thomas Hatcher; brother, Earnest Whitehead of Shelbyville, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 in the Smith West Chapel with Rev. Glen Grubb and Rev. Mark Grubb officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Clark's Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Madison Ave. Baptist Church Building Fund, 1918 Madison Avenue, Maryville, TN 37804.
