Violet M. Walker

Violet M. Walker age 85 of Maryville passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Wilbert C. Walker; parents, Theodore and Myrtle Gourley; daughter, Pamela Ann Walker Bazaman. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Alan and Kathy Dee Morgan Walker; daughter, Patsy Aletha Walker Babb; son-in-law, Harvey Bazaman; grandchildren, Christal (Johnny) Gulledge Vanderpool, Jennifer (Chip) Babb Casteel, Jeremiah (Tara) Babb, Matthew (Kathy) Walker, Bethany (Randall) Walker Prater, Sarah Walker; great grandchildren, Zachary and Jillian Gulledge, Hayden Casteel, Mason McAnutly, Lily Babb, Gabriel Babb, Atlas Babb, Wyatt Patton, Kennsleigh Walker, Violet Rayne Walker; brothers, Leon Gourley, and Larry (Linda) Gourley; sisters, Charlene Edwards, Marcella Gourley; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Glandon; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Richard Brewer. Family and friends will assemble at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery for graveside service and interment with Rev. Charles Ballard officiating. Friends may call at their convenience Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
