Violet Virginia Bivens

Sweet Violet Virginia Bivens’ love of life didn’t come to an end with her death.  Violet passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 79 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by loving with not limits. 

Violet has lived her life taking care of others, Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren.  She was HOME – a place no one every wanted to leave.  “Violet” the flower symbolized the Virgin Mary’s humility.  It is believed that these flowers blossomed when the angel Gabriel told Mary that Jesus would be her baby. A true and everlasting love – that is her.

Violet loved spending time in the kitchen with Lorreta or Vern blaring from the little radio that always sat on the counter.  She also loved her Tennessee Vols, especially the Lady Vols.  Her huge presence will be missed by so many.  She is survived by:  husband, James L. Bivens; children, John C. Bivens, Pamela A. Bivens, James A Bivens & wife Jackie, Sherry Isbill & husband Aaron, Wesley Bivens, Mandy B. Street & husband Brandon; Hector Bivens; grandchildren, Natalie Hawkins, Heather Bivens, Jordan B. Grubb, Juliann Bivens, Brittany Bivens, Daniel Bivens, Haley Bivens, Boone Street, and Brody Street; brother, Mike Russell and Harold Russell & wife Cheryl; sister, Mabel Thompson; many great-grandchildren and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
