Veronica Gail Roberson

Veronica “Gail” Roberson born June 7, 1953, unexpectedly passed away on September 5, 2024. Gail was raised in the Louisville and Friendsville area of Blount County. She graduated from Friendsville High School in 1971. Gail was preceded in death by her loving husband Gary Dale Roberson; father, Clarence “O’Dell’’ Walker; mother, Gladys Evelyn Walker; mother- in- law Mamie Purkey. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Melodie Walker; nieces Brianna and Sierra Walker; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Ann and Mike McLemore; granddaughters Leann and Amber McLemore; Brother-in-aw and sister-in-law, Ted and Linda Roberson; and her very special nephew Jimmy Lawson; many cousins that she grew up with and loved dearly. Gail was a very caring and compassionate person. Over 20 years ago she started taking care of her husband of 40 years when he became disabled. During that time, she also took care of her mother when Alzheimer’s and other health issues made her bedridden. Gail’s family would like to thank the staff at Shannondale Assisted Living for making her last few months of life happier. They would also like to thank DCI Dialysis Center for helping to give her family a few more happy months with her. Family and friends will assemble for graveside service at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Zion’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
