Veda Mercedes “Sadie” Cole Cutshaw, age 89, of Friendsville, TN passed away peacefully on January 28, 2017 after a long battle with Dementia. Sadie was born in Houston, TX and later moved to Corpus Christi, TX where she met and married her husband Jack W. Cutshaw on June 8, 1942. Together Sadie and Jack had 8 children, 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Father & Mother, William G. Cole and Elsie Harper; Brother, William J. Receiving of friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Charles Carpenter of Hickory Valley Baptist Church in Lenoir City, TN, where Sadie was a member for several years, will be officiating.
