Valorie Darlene Davis

Valorie Darlene Davis age 61 of Maryville, loving mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday March 27th 2010 at the family home. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. She worked as a beautician in Knoxville and Maryville, enjoying her retirement fishing and tending to her garden with her devoted companion Mr. Gene Hembree. She also loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She always greeted you with a hug and a smile, possessing a personality that was truly one of a kind. Preceded in death by parents Charles and Helen Everett; brother, Jimmy Everett; sister, Mary Lou Purkey. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Tipton, Tonya Davis Myers and husband, Don, and Bunnie Davis Scalf and special friend, Sammy Vance; grandsons, Tyler Kirkland, Bryson Scalf, Dalton Scalf, Daniel Scalf, Nicholas Myers; granddaughters, Sydney Myers and Madeline Myers; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends including her best friend of over 23 years, Sandra Hill and husband, Charlie and their daughter, Patti. A very special thank you to Blount Memorial Hospice nurses and Broadway Baptist Church for your support and prayers. Funeral Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Tony Collins officiating. Family and friends will assemble for the interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 983-1000.
