Twila Davis Berry

October 16, 1923 — April 21, 2012

Twila Davis Berry passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the age of 88 with her loving husband of 66 years by her side. She was a member of Brantley’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, a native of Sharps Chapel, TN and a retired cafeteria manager at Eagleton Junior High School. She was also a 1941 graduate of Horace Maynard High School and a past matron of the Rockford Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an active member of the Alcoa Retirement Club. Twila was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be loved and deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Archie and Maggie Davis of Sharps Chapel; sisters, Jessie Messer and Infant, Joan Davis; son-in-law, Rick Steele; and grandson, Davis Berry. Survivors include her devoted husband, Corum Berry; children, Adrean Steele of Soddy Daisy, Archie (Susan) Berry of Knoxville, and Linda (Danny) Graves of Maryville; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother, Fred Davis and Sister, Ella Jean Coker. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with grandson, Rev. Chris Graves and grandson, Rev. Sean Cordell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Elder D.C. Brantley officiating.
