Troy Lee Holt

Troy Lee Holt passed away at his home on Saturday, March 14, 2020, he was 82 years old. He was born in Blount County, Tennessee, and attended Oak View School and Walland High School. He was in the U.S. Army from 1961 – 1963, stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia, with the 2nd Division Strike Unit and was the driver of a 105-mm self-propelled howitzer. Troy was a residential building contractor for 40-plus years. He was a member of Oak View Baptist Church and served as a deacon and building chairman. He was also a member of the Maryville Lions Club. Troy enjoyed camping and traveling and had the opportunity to visit all 50 states and several foreign countries. After he retired, he enjoyed traveling to Elkhart, Indiana, and transporting campers across the United States and Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Leona (Webb) Holt, and by his sister, Diane Holt Buchanan. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gwen; son, Lee (Tina); daughter, Carole (Tim); and grandchildren, Treyson, Lynnea, and Naia. He is also survived by his brothers, Delmar (Linda) Holt and Gene (Jama) Holt; his sisters, Dorothy Holt Leonard and Deloris Holt Reagan; and many nieces and nephews.
