Tina L. Lawson

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Tina Lyle Lawson went peacefully home to be with her heavenly father while surrounded by the people she loved. Tina was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a passionate lover of animals, Disney World (with her best friends Joanne and Linda), and all things Tennessee Volunteers. Tina was preceded in death by her mother Blanche, her brother Jim, and her sister Terry. She is survived by her husband Jim, son Jimmy, Daughter-in-law Heather, and grandkids: Victoria, Skylar, Mackenzie, Brody, Kevin, Tristan, and Sophia. Tina will be remembered as a strong, stern, and loving woman who spent most of her life as a public servant. Tina worked tirelessly and proudly to serve her community from her early years as the first POST certified female sheriff's deputy at the Knox County Sheriff's Office, to her later years as an elementary school teaching assistant. In place of flowers, the family asks that anyone interested please donate to the Young Williams Animal Center to honor Tina's love for animals. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
