Timothy "Tim" Keith Denton

Timothy Keith Denton, age 64 of Friendsville, also known as Tim, went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on June 5th 2024 while holding the hand of his daughter. He battled Multiple Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis since the end of 2017. Tim graduated from Everett High School in 1977, where he played football. He met the love of his life, Patti as teenagers. Tim loved gardening, cooking, and working out. He was a very passionate UT football fan and loved his Atlanta Braves, but most of all Tim loved the Lord and his family. He and Patti spent 48 wonderful years together and had two children, Taylor and Cate, also known as his angels on earth. He referred to Patti as his "security blanket" along his journey or as he sometimes referred to her as "the warden." He was crazy about his three granddaughters. He loved his church, Madison Avenue Baptist. Many of his family members, friends, and his church family rallied around him and called themselves "Team Timmy". He was preceded in death by his loving father, Richard Denton, his siblings Denise, Donna, and Bud, and his nieces and nephews Jaison, Caleb, and Crisi. Tim is survived by his loving wife, his two kids and their spouses, his three granddaughters, Tessa, Makenna, and Larston, mother, Glenna Denton, his three siblings, Dion, Jonathan, and Dwayne, many nieces and nephews, and his very best friend, Paul Gilley. A special thank you for all of the prayer warriors, Paul Gilley, Dr. Wahid Hanna/staff at UT, and Dr. Craig Hoffmeister/staff at Emory University Hospital, and ICU Doctor/nurses at Blount Memorial. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, 1918 Madison Ave, Maryville, TN 37804. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM officiated by Pastor Greg Heisler.
