Thomas D. Wilson

December 14, 1954 — January 27, 2014

Thomas D. "Tommy" Wilson, of Kenosha, WI, and formerly of Winthrop Harbor, IL, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 27, 2014 at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. He was born December 14, 1954, in Waukegan, IL, and was a 1974 graduate of Zion Benton Township High School. Thomas was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, IL. Thomas had an infectious connection with the lives he touched, if you met him you could not help but love him. Always humble, big hearted, caring, loving, selfless and very respectful of others. He was always proud to be known as one of the original "Harbor Boys" and the bond that he had with his buddies. His love for everyone lead him to bouncing at Bull Pen, In Between Lounge, and Cruisers which he absolutely enjoyed. If he was not down by Lake Michigan you might be able to find him at a local Pow Wow dancing around the fire or visiting his family in the Smoky Mountains. He loved Eagles, wolves and anything that had to do with his Indian heritage. His daughters & grandchildren were his life and he loved them with all his heart. Now he will forever be the Superman we always knew he was. Survivors include his daughters, Jamie (Jason) Miller of Valmeyer, IL, Kari (Jason) Jakimauskas of Valmeyer, IL, and Stephanie (Christopher) Phillips of Twin Lakes, WI; Grandchildren Brittany, Bethany, Brianna, and Brooke Miller, Tinleigh and Tallen Jakimauskas, Zakari, Cassidy, and Alexander Phillips; Sister, Pamala (Ricky) Dixon of Rockford, TN; Brother, Roger (Kimberly) Wilson of Zion, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and an abundance of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Thomas and Algie Huskey Wilson. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service at 3:00pm with Pastor Jeff Dockery officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend, Tennessee. Memorials and Donations are suggested to the family.
