Thomas F Shuler

Thomas F. Shuler of Townsend, TN born January 26, 1944 went home to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on January 10, 2020. Tommy retired from Blount County Highway Department. He was an avid outdoors man. He was always working outdoors or walking in the mountains, where he was at peace, Tommy was a man with a big heart. He is preceded in death by his son Thomas R. (Randy); parents Clyde and Georgia (Lane) Shuler; brothers Clell, Tolbert, ClydeRay, and sister Nellie Burchfield. Survived by his wife of 52 years Johnnie Gail (Hembree) Shuler and granddaughter Jamie Shuler; brothers Larry (Carol) Shuler, Steve Shuler of Townsend; sisters Joanna (Glen) Kirkpatrick of Powell, Linda (Jeff) Miland, Karen (Bill) Myers of Townsend, and daughter-in-law Tammy. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the Smith Trinity Chapel from 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Then on Thursday, January 16, 2020 a graveside service and interment will be held at Cades Cove Methodist Church at 1:00pm.
