Thomas Lee Perkins

Thomas Lee Perkins age 72 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Springview Baptist Church and was retired from Knoxville Journal and Knoxville News-Sentinel after 39 years of service. He was a devoted husband, family man and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade & Florence Perkins. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Perkins; son & daughter-in-law, David & Donna Perkins of Maryville; daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Harold Haga of Lenoir City; grandson, Justin Farrington & girlfriend, Ellyn Sheets; granddaughter, Casey Perkins; brother, Paul Perkins; aunt, Billie Perkins of Rutledge; several nieces & nephews. Funeral service 7:30 pm Friday, April 2, 2010, Smith Trinity Chapel with Mr. David Oxendine & Rev. Ben Ward officiating. Family & friends will assemble at 10:00 am, Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Woodlawn Cemetery for the interment.
