Thomas F. Menke

Tom was born on March 30,1954, in Des Plaines IL. At a very young age Tom's passion for reading and writing began. His exploration of the world really exploded when he joined the army. In the early 2000s, Tom's passions shifted from traveling to his family, friends and creating memories. Tom was a successful business owner. He loved being outside reading and mowing grass. Tom created an environment for people to share conversation, guidance and he sought to broaden perspectives. Above all, Tom's greatest love and pride was his story, his life. He lived every single day like it was his last. Reminding everyone "you never have enough time". Tom's legacy of reading, writing and the adventures of life will live on through the people who were fortunate to have known him. 

Survived by his children: Elizabeth Menke, Michael Menke, Steven Menke, Kevin Menke, Drake Menke (Significant other: Autumn Nelson), Taylor Menke (Significant other: Seth Dascher), Efren Pelayo and grandsons Lincoln and Oliver; Siblings: Cathy Werner, Jimmy Menke, Todd Menke; Padawans: Joe Dean, Tyler Thiessen, Austin Cantrell, and Angie Nelson; And love of his life, LeeAnne Cantrell. In Tom's wishes, he requested not to have a service. Instead, there will be a celebration of life. Details will be decided soon.
