Thomas David Kelso

Thomas David Kelso, age 85, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at home. He was a member of Outreach Church and loved his church family. He was retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He loved his family more than anything. He was a wonderful, loving husband, Daddy, Papaw, Brother, Son and friend. He Loved his garden, sharing stories and recipes with everyone; Loved his faithful companion, Shadow. Preceded in death by wife of 56 years, Mary Christine Kelso; son, Ronnie Kelso; parents, Ernest and Willie Kelso; siblings, JR (Jama), Chester, Arthur (Betty), Clyde, Gean, Eddie (Linda), Clifford, Barbara (Brad) Bradford; parents-in-law, Clarence and Mayme Blair; nephew, Scottie; niece, Missy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Survived by son, James Richard Kelso; daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Willie Emert; daughter-in-law, Kathy Kelso; grandchildren, Chris and Megan Kelso, Jimmy and Rebekah Kelso, Joey Kelso, Jed and Miranda Emert, Jennifer Emert, great-grandchildren, Jacob Kelso, Chayse McDaniel, Liz Decker; siblings, Shirley and Fred Duncan, Hugh and Dianne Kelso, Alice and Larry Stargel, Christine “Tinnie” Kelso; sister-in-law, Margaret Kelso; several nieces and nephews; many friends, especially his Greenback Diner Girls and friends. Special thanks to the loved ones that helped care for him the last few weeks. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Arp and Rev. Bill Dixon officiating.
