Thomas E. Franks Jr., Tennessean by birth, Texan at heart, age 66 currently a resident of Tyler, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2009 at St. Marys Medical Center. He was a former employee of Twin City Nissan. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Franks, Sr. Survivors include his wife, Pat Franks; son & daughter-in-law, Thomas Jeffrey & Cindy Franks of Texas; daughter & son-in-law, Tracye Franks & Ted Cross of Texas; stepchildren, Angela Berlin of Knoxville and Bob Berlin of Texas; 9 grandchildren, Colby, Garrett, Shawn, Lisa, Makayla, Jayden, Nikki, Cali & Jordan; great-granddaughter, Raina Moon; mother, Jimmie Franks of Alabama; brothers & sisters-in-law, Gordon & Jessica Franks, Andy & Ann Franks; sister & brother-in-law, Susan & Paul Kelly all of Alabama; beloved pet, Bubba. Funeral service 11:00 am, Friday, August 14, 2009, Smith Trinity Chapel. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
