Thomas “T.J.�? Boring, born August 21, 1924 went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospice of Halls after a lengthy illness. He was retired from Y-12 after 43 years of service and was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Marybell Long Boring; Parents, Frank and Sally Boring, and Sister, Mildred; He is survived by his wife, Rella Whitaker Boring; Son and Daughter-in-law, Robert and Cindy Murphy; Daughter, Carolyn Cagley; Step-daughter, Betty Aungst and husband, Steve; Grandchildren, Wayne, Carol Ann, Steven, Johnny, Monica, Shelby, and Andrew; Great-Grandchildren, Leah, Dylan, Erin, Hanna, Isabella, Danny, and Rick; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Boomer and Margie Boring and Vernon and Olive Boring; Many special nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. David Mason officiating. The family and friends will assemble at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Grandview Cemetery for Interment service and Military Honors.
