Theron Clyde Lund

Theron (Terry) C. Lund passed away February 24, 2024 at the age of 86.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 30, 1937 to Gustaf and Rosemarie Maday Lund, who preceded him in death.  Terry was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church and retired from First Tennessee Bank, Knoxville, after over 40 years in the banking industry. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years and was stationed at the naval facility in Washington DC.

 He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Allison; daughter-in-law, Jane; sister, Carol; and brother, Tim.   Terry was survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha Ray Lund; sons Mark and Patrick Lund; grandson Andrew Lund (Angelica); great grandchildren Lilly and Liam; and brother Fred Lund (Sharon) of Duluth, Minnesota. 

 Family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bob Dalton and Rev. Jerry Mantooth officiating.  The family will have a private burial at Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers Terry requested that donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank, 136 Harvest Lane, Maryville, TN 37803.  Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.SmithFuneralandCremation.com.
