Terry Gene Darnell age 60 of Louisville passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He will be greatly missed by all. Terry was a graduate of Powell High School and had many passions and successes in life, but none greater than his family. He was a successful business owner for over 20 years, but more importantly he was a great family man his entire life. He truly put others first and was always available to lend a helping hand. He was never more at peace than when he was sitting on his front porch overlooking the lake sharing stories with his friends. His passion for boating and spending time on the water will live on in his children and grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Gene Darnell; step-father, Fred Foster; father-in-law, Pearl Scott, Sr. He leaves behind his wife, Diane Darnell; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Brooke Darnell; daughter and son-in-law, Staci and Travis McCosh; grandchildren, Emerson Darnell, Maddi and Conner Beddingfield, and Max and Jayelee McCosh; mother, Nancy Foster; mother-in-law, Fannie Scott; brother, Randy Darnell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kim and Chuck Ellms; and Geoffrey and Joe Mountain; special niece, Maria Mountain and several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express a special "Thank you" to Shawn C. at Fort Sanders Regional Cardio ICU, all doctors and nurses and Fresenius Dialysis Clinic on Western Avenue, and Preacher David Snyder. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Robert Holmes officiating.
