Sydney Bobbitt

Sydney Colon Bobbitt, 22, of Dubuque, Iowa died Friday Mar 11, 2011. She was born on April 20, 1988, in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of Colon and Glenda Bobbitt. She attended Alcoa Elementary School in Alcoa, TN and later graduated from Hempstead High School in Dubuque. She was studying Ecology at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville. Syndey worked for Best Buy for the last 6 years. Sydney’s two greatest passions in life were helping others and following her favorite sports team the Detroit Red Wings. Preceded in death by her father, Colon John Bobbitt, and brother, William John Bobbitt. Survivors include: Sister, Lindsey Bobbitt of St Louis, MO and one of her best friends, Gwen; many aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, a Sydney Bobbitt Memorial Fund has been established. Graveside service and interment will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Magnolia Cemetery.
