Steven Morris Wells

Steve M. Wells age 57, of Maryville, coming from Missouri, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at the family home. Steve was a computer programmer and the kindest and sweetest of men never speaking unkindly about anyone. He was an avid fitness enthusiast as a runner, a biker, and a Half-Iron Man. He was very talented in building or fixing just about anything and always paid very special attention to the love of his life’s honey-do list. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind. Preceded in death by his parents, Don & Barbara Wells; sisters, Tammy & Shawn Wells; nephew, Garrett Moots and nieces, Megan & Mallory Moots. Survivors include his loving & devoted wife of 35 years, Lisa Wells; son, Nicholas Andrew “Drew�? Wells of Maryville; daughter & son-in-law, Gabrielle & James Dalton of Knoxville; grandchild, Zoe Dalton; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donnie & Connie Wells of Shelbina, MO, Jon & Reta Wells of Macon, MO, Jeff & Vynai Wells of Columbia, MO, Eric Wells of Independence, MO; sisters & brothers-in-law, Adri Anne & Doug Kothe of Knoxville, Janet & Scott Zust of Woodstock, GA, Shannon & Shaon Fry of Columbia, MO, Beth & Eric Moots of Macon, MO; many nieces & nephews and other extended family. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2012 at Smith Trinity Chapel. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Smithview Pavilion with Rev. Craig Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
