Steven A. Rodgers

Steven Alden Rodgers, age 75 of Louisville passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012. Born in Mountainside, NJ on November 13, 1936, Steven served in the US Navy aboard the USS New Jersey. He attended Newark State College (now Keane College) where he excelled in music and theatre. After graduating with a degree in English, Steve's career spanned teaching high school English, managing airline hub operations, owning a thriving sports memorabilia business and dealing in antiques. One of his passions was collecting vintage baseball cards, and in his younger days he played in amateur tennis tournaments. Steve was preceded in death by: Daughter, Kim. Survivors include: Wife, Barbara; Son Chris, Daughter, Elise and husband Lake along with grandchildren, Megan, Caroline, Jackson and Benjamin; Brother, Gary; Former Wife, Peggy; Sisters, Gail and Sandy; Brother, Frank Jr. There will be a gathering for friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Life Event Center, 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803.
