Steve Smirl, Sr.

Steve Smirl, Sr. left his life on January 26, 2013 to begin his new pain free life with his family in heaven. He was born February 25, 1951 in Little Rock, AR and lived there until his job relocated him to Maryville, TN in 1988. He later moved to Madisonville which is where he lived at the time of his death. He is preceded in death by: Parents, A.T. & Lorene Smirl; Son, Steve Smirl, Jr.; Brother-in-law, John Nash; Brother-in-law, John Cook III; Father-in-law, John Cook Jr.; Nephew, Jerry Glover. He is survived by: Wife & Best Friend of 36 years, Debbie Smirl; Daughter, Trina Cook; Son, Brian Smirl Sr. & wife Mandy; 3 grandchildren, Bailey Bryles, Brian Smirl, Jr., and John Kaden Smirl; Sisters, Norma Nash, Sandra Black & husband Jimmy; Brother, Ed Smirl & wife Estelene. He worked for Ashland Chemical from 1979 until his disability in 2004. He was district sales manager for Eastern TN and won numerous awards & commendations for his outstanding sales & trouble shooting ability. He worked with most of the boat manufactures, spas, and marble shops in Tennessee. His hobbies were flying, being on the water with his son, and entertaining friends and clients. He was learning to play golf but you had better watch out for the flying clubs and wild balls. He was always full of life and ready to have a good time. His motto on the water was "It's always 12:00 somewhere."
