Steve Houston McNeilly born July 16, 1951, departed this life at 6:00 AM, Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Blount Memorial Hospital. Steve was a member of West Miller's Cove Primitive Baptist Church. He was a heavy equipment operator, farmer and sawyer. He will be missed greatly by his family, neighbors, friends and his caregivers, his sister & brother-in-law, Lynn & Lenville. Preceded in death by: Parents, Howard & Nell McNeilly; Grandparents, John Houston & Carrie Ogle and John & Rhonda McNeilly; Great Niece, Railee Bowers. Survivors include: Sister, Lynn Powell & husband Lenville; Sister, Charlotte Bowers & husband Tom; Niece, Kristi Yates & husband Marty; Nephew, Brad Bowers & wife Missy; Great Nieces, Landry & Lendi Yates, and Gracie Bowers; Great Nephews, Lee Yates and Thomas Bowers; Aunts, Nita Thomas, Mary Murphy, and Bernice McNeilly; many other friends and relatives; Special Friend, John Coykendall; Special Neighbors, Ms. Mary, Patti & Steve. The family would like to thank the staff of 2E at Blount Memorial Hospital and Dr. Weatherbee for the care and kindness they gave to our family during this time. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Elder Mike Walker officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 6, 2013 at West Millers Cove Cemetery.
