Widner, Stephen, age 60, of Alcoa passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011. He was a devoted member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir. Stephen retired from Y-12 as a Computer Systems Analyst after decades of dedicated service. He received his Bachelor and Masters Degrees from UT Knoxville and was a proud member of the University of Tennessee Alumni Band. He had a long-time involvement in Alcoa Little League. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nelle Widner. Survivors include sister and brother-in-law Beth and Bryan Jackson of Athens, TN; brother and sister-in-law David and Lesa Widner of Sammamish, WA; nieces and nephews Alan and Amy Jackson, Andrea and husband Todd Flanders, Elyse, Andrew and William Widner; Aunt, Edna Hutchens, uncle Ralph and wife, Evelyn Ousley; cousin and close friend, Bobbie Ousley Hatcher; and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Graveside service and interment will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday October 25, 2011 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joe Green officiating. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Alcoa First United Church with receiving of friends to follow in the fellowship hall.
